Review content:
This shop is more than a store. It is a place to go to meet and enjoy the company of some very nice people and to select from an enormous selection of yarns. On any Saturday one can walk in and see a group of men and women sitting around a large table knitting and chatting. There are , of course, always the "regulars" but everyone is welcome to grab a chair and join the group. Everyone has to be a first timer once. The first time I went in to learn how to knit, I was made to feel very welcome. Then about noon a piece of paper is passed around and lunch is ordered in. Everyone is welcome to join in. Once a month there is a potluck. Everyone is welcome to join in. Twice a month there is a knitnight on Thursday night. Everyone is welcome to join in. It is a warm and welcoming group. Additionally, the help really does HELP. Sharon (the store owner), Kate and Nancy are wonderful individuals and they know their knitting. If the shop is busy, it is not uncommon to find a steady customer take time to help a new customer. I find this store to be an excellent place to shop as well as to learn, improve my skill, and to interact with a friendly staff and customers.
