Abner's food always hits the spot! When you are in the mood for some really great barbecue this is the place to go. The ribs, chicken, and pork are smoked infusing them with flavor. They come dry, without sauce, so one can really appreciate the flavor of the meat. Rather than saturating their quality meat with sugary sauces, a technique used by all chain restaurants, which only serves to disguise the lack of flavor in the meat, Abner's chooses to let their food speak for itself.
When it comes to sides, Abner's does it right once again. They do not offer greasy, fried foods that are cheaply made, but rather offer homestyle options that are delicious and carefully prepared. One such side is the sweet potato mashed potatoes. Creamy, light, and perfectly sweet, these potatoes compliment the smokiness of the barbecue wonderfully. As stated earlier, Abner's hits the spot every time!
