Review content:
After months of trying to find a stylist who isn't afraid to cut hair short -- and I do mean short -- I found success at Jon'Ric. My stylist Michelle was really great -- she asked me some good questions about what I like, what I typically have done, what I've not liked in the past, etc. I'm a busy single mom so not only do I need short, no-fuss, and stylish hair, I need someone who'll do it properly so I don't have to go back repeatedly until it is....or find someone else all over again. Michelle really listened and did a wonderful job texturizing my hair and cutting it the right length. I love it!! The salon staff are BUSY but they're very nice, a bonus considering the level of service typical of South Florida (which is, imho, generally very lackluster). When I called to make my first appointment, I informed them I was a new client and could they recommend someone who's good with a razor. My hair is a short, spiky style that looks best when a razor is used to cut it rather than shears. But previous stylists I've tried couldn't quite understand that 1) the razor needs to be SHARP so 2) there's no need to pull my hair out by the roots just to cut it. They recommended Michelle and I'm very glad they did. She understood very well what I wanted, why I had short hair in the first place (no, I don't have a gender identity problem), and did a fabulous job. Prices are reasonable considering the level of service there. Their website has a full menu of their prices and services which I found very helpful. TIP: If you pay with a credit card, bring cash for tips because they don't add tips to credit card sales. This might be a no-brainer for some people, but it was news to me -- I rarely carry cash because practically everything's done electronically, so I had to find an ATM quick and return with a tip. Luckily, everyone was nice about it. Overall, a great experience and would recommend them often.
