My kid sister is just now starting to read at the age of 10 due to her disabilities. For the longest time she said reading would give her a headache, we are unsure if the stress of getting the words wrong was the cause or the simple fact that she was not remembering the words. In either case, the child has now found out that reading isn't suppose to cause headaches and she is on fire. She's reading all the easy readers Mom can find, but at 2.50 or more per book, Mom is going bankrupt fast. So Mom has been going back and forth between work and life to Bent Pages, buying the kid sister books at a discount, selling back the used books for instore credit, and everyone is happy. Best part of this, I don't have to hear Mom grip because she forgot to return the darn library books. I have used Bent Pages for my required readings in school and the prices are like 50% or more off of the retail prices that the stores are charging. It's a great deal for everyone whether they are 2 or 102, if reading is thier game, Bent Pages is the place to be. They are located on Barrow Street near the water processing plant.
