Review content:
Until this year, I really paid no attention to the grade schools in California. My little boy started Kindergarten 3 weeks ago, at Lindo Park School. I have to admit, this school is a lot different than any other school I have had any dealings with, at any grade level. Never before have I met such a great group of teachers, teachers that truly do care about their students. Ones that take the time to get to know the students and their parents. The Principal of this school, Ms. Ginger Van Zant, is wonderful! She's eager to get to meet the parents, students, etc. She shows a true interest in the children and families attending classes at her school. She's always looking for ways to make the school better, and making the school safer and more enjoyable for the students there. The school is well maintained, quite safe, peaceful, and well run. It is mainly run on common sense, not a lot of over the top rules as so many other schools are. My son is having the time of his life at this school. He adores his teacher, Ms. Nicki Lustig, and he adores Ms. VanZant. This school also thoroughly enjoys and welcomes parent volunteers, which I plan to do very shortly. And the PTA is wonderful. I can remember no one wanting to be a pta member back when I was in school because all they did was ask for money and never did anything for the school or its students...but this PTA is different. And I can happily say that my fiance and I are proud members of this schools PTA!
