If you only have a short time in Key West and want to make the most of it you really need to take in the Conch Train Tour. The tickets are under $25.00 per person and you get to see almost all of the island of Key West on an open train with a conductor that can tell you all about the island. You see the Maritime Museum, Hemingway House, Trumans Summer Whitehouse with all its historial information. You will pass the Curry Mansion where tours are also available. The conductor will tell you all the history of the gingerbread on the houses and about the widows walks. You even go past local haunts that are pointed out such as Sloppy Joes, Captain Tony's etc. It is a very informative tour and enables you to see most all of Key West in about two hours. It also gives you info on where to stop when you are done with the tour so that you get your bearings quickly.
