Review content:
This particular rink is located in one of Grapvine Mills Mall's many wings located here in Grapevine, Tx.. It has an excellent proshop with a serious stock of hockey gear, hockey training DVDs, figure skates, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. This rink features 2 rinks, a plaza area, a public benched locker area, game room and mini restraurant. The rinks themselves are well-maintained but very frigid, so bring a warm coat, gloves, and be prepared for extra strenuous work out. The hard and fast ice is attributed to the cold environment... So take a few slow and easy laps untill you get a feel for the ice and make sure your blades are set on sharp. The only problem with the public sessioned rink is that the lighting is very poor, lending to poor visibility which can, be at times, nerve wracking . The Coaching staff is not listed on the Dr. Pepper Star Center website, but I assure you will find the best of the best here... Olympic best!!
