After a 3-1/2 hour drive from Northern Minnesota to the Wedding Station to check on my daughter's dress order I find a sign on the door saying someone will return in 45 mintues. I wait, because you cannot call these people. No one answers their phones during normal business hours and their answering machine is always full and when you actually do get to talk to the owners help all she does is say owner will call you back, which never happens. My daughter ordered a dress from them in July, paying in cash as she could get $100 discount by doing so. After their non responsiveness to phone messages, I decided I needed to make sure the dress was actually ordered. I did try calling the manufacturer directly however they informed me they only deal with the shop. Thus the trip to Shakopee to obtain a confirmation number, slip, anything showing dress was ordered. While I was waiting for someone to show up at the store (during normal business hours) I had an opportunity to talk with several other girls wanting to get into the shop also. Here are my findings: Girl #1. She was there to pick up a veil which she talked to the owner about picking up at 3:00 the previous evening. She was leaving the next day which was Friday for her wedding on Saturday on Coco Beach. She had same problem as I did and was glad she was going to be done with them after she picked up her veil. Owner returns and guess what - no veil. Owner has to run out SOMEWHERE and pick it up. Girl #1 has to make another trip back to pick up veil after waiting 45 mintues for shop to open to get veil and finding it still isn't there along with having a million other things to do before leaving for wedding next day. Girl #2 There to pick up wedding dress that was being altered and wedding was Saturday. Dress was so tight in bust she couldn't breathe. Her comment was she wasn't going to be able to eat a thing between Thursday and Saturday just so she could take a breath. Girl #3. There to check on her dress, which was suppose to be in store in July. Not here yet and her wedding is next month. After hearing these stories along with a similar one from a friend who is doing alterations for me on my dress, I decide I am not leaving until I have my money refunded. Owner did agree to refund my money because I threathened to sit in front of her store handing out the comments from this web page and thus she would not be selling any dresses. She issued me a check, but again guess what. No funds in account. On my way to bank to cash I decided I better get on the phone to make sure the check was good, it wasn't. I then returned to the store and wasn't leaving until I had CASH, which I did ultimately obtain. I feel sorry for anyone having dresses on order with this shop and can only hope they arrive before there is a out of business sign on her front door.
