Passageways Travel is one of the leading travel agencies in the Grand Traverse area. They have long had a great reputation for offering top-notch service. I recently had the opportunity to interview a member of the Passageways staff for an article I was writing on honeymoons. She offered the following tips/strategies to future brides and grooms. These great tips are just one of the reasons why I highly recommend calling Passageways Travel when you're planning your honeymoon: “The big advantage is we have everything right at our fingertips,” she said. “We know exactly where to go to find everything and we work with it day in and day out.” She said couples could spend upwards to 40 hours planning a trip that make take her just an hour to book. Mistakes that honeymooners make, that a travel agent can help avoid, include booking an incorrect number of nights at their hotel (i.e. their honeymoon is from the 1st-7th and they count that as 7 nights, when it’s actually just six). This can cause all sorts of problems if they then booked their flight a day earlier (or later) than they expected. Another mistake is not knowing which times are the cheapest travel times. For instance, sometimes changing to an evening flight or extending the trip one day longer can save upwards to $100 on air travel. One of the disadvantages of booking with online sites (such as expedia.com or orbitz.com) is that once you’ve booked the trip, it’s yours, with little opportunity for change. To make sure your honeymoon is as magical as your wedding, be sure to call Passageways Travel!
