The Childrens Fair of Lewisberry is TOTALLY FREE!!!! I ttok my children there on August 31. It was really incredible. Let me start as we walk in the entrance. They give you a "program" of things that will be there, then they give you a small calendar, some candy and an invitaion to a church coffee time. Then they point you in the direction of free coffee. I passed on that one myself not liking coffee at all ;)
So I take my 2 year old over to get his picture taken. It was really cute they painted a child doing a cartwheel t he stuck his face in the little whole ...they take the pic and give it to you. You turn it upside down and it looks like your child is upside down doing a cartwheel it was so cute!!
Then we go to visit the LLamas. They had baby llamas there. they were so soft. Ny son wanted to take one home! Right beside the llamas they showed you how they make yarn out of their fur.
Next we went over to the paint spinwheel. My 13 year old son did it for my 2 year old but the 2 year old picked the colors!!! Very nice he got to take home a nice art picture!!
They had one of those bouncy things that kids just bounce in but Jack my 2 year old was scared of that so we didn't go there. We walked over to the horses and ponies they had and watched them for awhile. The kids were riding them but Jack didn't want to.
They had a hayride for everybody so David my 13 year old took Jack on that. When they got back David said Jack was so scared he clung to him the whole time!!!
Then the good part they had FREE snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks!!! We ate that junk food LOL then went to play the games. They had a lot of games for Jack and David to play and you don't walk away without a prize for each one!!
This was a really nic fair and I will be going back to it next year!!!
