Gordon Food Service is a bare-bones, food distribution store that's open to the public. You don't have to be a member like Sam's Club. Do expect to see huge jugs of maple syrup and vinegar, large cans of fruits and vegetables, big cases of soda pop and paper towels and multi packs of chips and snacks. They have a large selection of frozen foods including breakfast items, seafood, meats, and desserts. They also have a decent produce area with very large bags of potatoes, onions and really good table ready bagged salads. The margarine comes in a 1 pound block which is kind of neat...very Euro :) ...and forget about buying just one dozen eggs...they come in multi pack trays. There are also lots of tableware, trays, pans, and everything you need to create your own buffet. While some of the prices aren't terrific, you can get some really good deals on a lot of products. Just beware of huge perishable items...we couldn't get through more than half the barrel of mayonnaise before it went bad. But this is just another reason it's a great place to stock up for a party.
