Businiess name:  Shiro of Japan

At Shiro of Japan, a variety of taste sensations are offered. Their classic hibachi menu won't dissapoint. To start off, mellow Japanese Onion Soup or Miso Soup(additional .50)laden with cubes of tofu wet ones appetite for things to come. Next up, a pedestrian salad is saved from blandness by a thick, tangy miso ginger dressing. If you ordered sushi as an addition or meal, you are in for a treat. Beyond fresh salmon sashimi had a satiny sheen and buttery texture. Squid, salmon skin Rolls, and salmon roe sampled bursted with flavor and melted in ones mouth. All hibachi diners are treated to a sizzling shrimp appetizer and pyrotechnic show. If you are afraid of the trick where the grill is on fire, move back a foot. Your hibachi choices include steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster, fresh fish and various combinations. All are prepared in a teriyaki marinade, spices, and a touch of butter(steak only) to lock in the flavor.A combination of zucchini, mushrooms, and onions along with bean sprouts or noodles are served on the side. If you have stomach space, have ice cream or sorbet for dessert, if not,sip some complimentary green tea.FYI weight watchers, hibachi here is prepared with minimal salt and butter due to good quality of the meats, so feel free to splurge. Service here is fine and extremely friendly. If you don't know, hibachi dining is communal so you may meet people while dining, Shiro has an atmosphere similar to a japanese tea house. Prices are a good value for what you get here. I suggest reservations for dining here so call (516)997-4770 to make a reservation.
