Review content:
Recently our family splurged and we stayed at the Marriott in Rancho Cordova. This is a very swanky, upscale hotel and while it was beautiful I found a few things could have been included that would have made our stay more enjoyable.
In our room was a video game system, but at $8 an hour my kids just got to touch it for a second. I'm sure that the Marriott could work out an advertising trade with Nintendo and provide this as part of the basic room rate.
The room did not include a microwave. We did not stay on the 11th floor, so there was no continental breakfast (I've stayed at Super 8's and been given a cheap donut and coffee, not sure why floors 1-10 could not be given some toast and juice or something). I guess we could have ordered room service, but $10 for juice and toast was laughable.
The pool was nice. My kids liked the waterfalls. They almost forgot about the video games.
Next time we are going back to the Super 8.
