Review content:
Old Country Buffet is located on Niagara Falls Blvd in Niagara Falls, NY in the Pine Plaza. Parking is plaza style parking. We've never had trouble finding a spot to park.
ONE WORD OF CAUTION: This is a restaurant that caters to Tour Buses (which is great for the restaurant and the tourists) but if you don't want to be bombarded by people while eating, check to see if there's a bus there (sitting outside of the restaurant) before deciding to eat here.
The interior is large with comfortable booth and table and chair seating. You help yourself to silverware, drinks, and food. Pricing is fair for adults (senior pricing available). Children under 3 are free, over 3 paying 50 cents per year. So my 3 year old costs $1.50 and my 5 year old costs, $2.50. This is cheaper than fast food and the selection is more healthy (depending on what you chose to feed them).
The buffet layout is nice. There is a soup and salad station with bread and rolls and fruit. There are also "different types of salads" to chose from.
Then there is a carving station usually with 2 choices of meat. In addition to these meats, there is usually baked fish, chicken wings and legs as well as french fries.
There is a potato and veggie station with a variety of veggies, gravies, and potatoes. The last station has things like mac and cheese, pasta, and more diverse selections (I think depending on the day).
Don't forget, there's a dessert station! Freshly baked cookies, pies, cakes, cheesecake slices, etc. There is also a self serve soft ice cream station with toppings. Yum yum!!
This is not "fine dining" but it's a great place to eat with a family. The staff are friendly and the bathrooms are clean.
