Having grown up in Knights Ferry I have always loved this restaurant. It has changed names and owners several times but it's charm has never gone away. It does not have the highest quality food but they know how to make a great burger.
Knights Ferry is a great place to take your kids for a day or even just a few hours to get away. It is a short 10 or 15 minute drive from Oakdale and there is so much to do. From a covered bridge, to the old mill, the jail, and the river.
This restaurant is the perfect place to end the day. It has friendly and fast service. Their menu includes all types of 50's cuisine. Their specialty is the "Buena Vista" burger that has everything you could ever imagine putting on a burger.
They offer outside tables, a full bar, and a juke box. The prices are reasonable, generally under $10 per plate. They also have a great children's menu including spaghetti and grilled cheese, my kids favorites.
Anyone looking for something new and fun to do, make the drive to Knights Ferry and include dinner at the Roadhouse.
