Review content:
If you are in the mood for seafood and you are anywhere in the vicinity of Gonzales, LA, then you must go to Mike Anderson's. It is located in the Holiday Inn, but do not be fooled, this is the best seafood in the Baton Rouge area, maybe even in the state of Louisiana. Do not get this restaurant confused with the Mike Anderson's in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, they are run by different people. The Gonzales location is outstanding. Frankly, I don't really like the Baton Rouge location. The seafood selection is plentiful, the portion sizes are huge (you will bring some home) and the meal prices are reasonable ($12-17). If you go at night and particularly on a weekend, be prepared to wait, the house is usually packed. The prices are cheaper for lunch and it's not so crowded, so lunch may be a better option. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant. When given the choice of where I want to go for dinner, most often I will choose Mike Anderson's in Gonzales.
