I found out about Just Desserts when I was dining at Stearns and Hill's Bistro in Melrose with friends. We ordered a heavenly Chocolate mousse cake that was TO DIE FOR! When we asked the waitress who supplied their desserts she informed us that is was Just Desserts in Wakefield.
I had a birthday in the family coming up soon so I called to inquire about my choices. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very helpful, and not bothered by my lack of ability to decide which one of their yummy cakes to get. AND they we able to customize it by doing a rain forest theme on the cake.
The cake was a huge hit! I had people tell me that they don't usually eat cake but they had TWO pieces of this one!
What a gold mine I have found! Not only do they make fabulous cakes they also have a Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake that is amazing. And I have called and gotten a cake made the same day I ordered it, they just needed 2-3 hours notice.
I tell everyone about this place because I have NEVER been disappointed with anything they have done for me.Their hours are a little short (Tues. thru Sat. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m) but they will sometimes arrange an earlier or later pick-up. Plus they DELIVER at a nominal charge.
If you call, they will mail or fax a menu to you. They don't have a website but the owner told me that she is working on setting one up.
