Review content:
I wasn't getting any coverage from Sprint with my Blackberry device at my house. Since I seldom leave my home, it was necessary for me to be able to use my device there. When I had ordered this I was told I would have the coverage at my zip code. I called customer service to request that I terminate my service without charge. The first representative didn't believe that my Blackberry was working so insisted that I reinstall the battery. Other reps I talked to also didn't believe me and all hung up on me or redirected me (called "passing the buck") to another when they didn't want to talk anymore. I even talked to two different service technicians, both whom couldn't help. Finally I called the corporate office of Sprint.http://www.complaints.com/directory/2004/april/29/34.htm. Again I had to wait after being told I would be helped. It took 2 people but the second was very cordial, telling me that she understood my frustrations, and for good reason. I was given credit for all my past payments, relieved of my 2 year contract, and was sent a box, postage paid to return my device. It only took 3 and 1/2 hours but the end result was satisfactory. Need I to say that the lesson here is to be sure you have coverage at your home before buying that cellular phone or device? Check out all the cellular companies, talk to friends to see what they have and their comments, check out the reviews and forums on each, ask for a trial period.
