Review content:
We have regularly taken our cars to F&F Auto Clinic for the past ten years. They have always done first rate mechanical work, at a fair price and in a scrupulously honest manner. We have never had an automotive problem that they couldn't fix. They always provide accurate cost quotes, and check with you in advance before doing any additional work that would exceed the original quote. And if you work or live nearby, they provide a drop off service first thing in the morning.
Our first experience with F&F offers a great example of how they do business. We had purchased a used 1995 Ford Windstar minivan from a car rental outfit. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Unfortunately, the mid-90's Windstars didn't turn out to be the pinnacle of Ford's automotive achievement. Among other things, our's had several nagging electrical issues.
After taking the van to two different Ford dealerships for repair, we still ended up with a couple of remaining electrical difficulties. The second shop claimed that they couldn't even reproduce one of the problems (a constant dinging of the "door open" alarm when the vehicle was in motion). We found that a bit hard to believe, since the van was dinging when we dropped it off, and it was dinging as we drove it away.
When I described the problems to the mechanic at F&F, he responded that they were both known issues, with simple fixes. He already knew than the dinging problem was covered by a Ford recall notice and informed me that that repair would be free of charge. True to his word, I got a call back from him two hours after I dropped off the van: the repairs were done right, and the price was as promised.
I can't recommend these guys highly enough.
