Review content:
The hotel is more of a campus almost, with a few separate buildings and parking areas. If you are not in the main building, parking and getting around are a slight pain. Employees have golf carts but you don't!
We were in a side building, not as glamorous as main but we knew it would be that way. Still had great views and walked out to our own pool and jacuzzi. Rooms were clean and well-kept. Restaurant had good food and nice views on multiple levels but were pricey. There aren't any other restaurants conveniently located and it costs money to cross the bridge to Sanibel. This hotel is just on the mainland side (which makes the room rates cheaper) but then you have to pay $3 every time you want to cross over to the island.
We came here during the summer, which were off-season rates. Next time I come to Sanibel, I think it will be to a hotel on the island.
Pros: Main building gorgeous, spa is gorgeous as well. They were renovating the tennis center and fitness facility when we were there. Also nice walking trails with boardwalks leading through the trees and around buildings.
