Review content:
Several years ago I found myself getting weak with much pain in my knee joints. It was becoming more difficult to walk and do my normal activites. It was recommended that I undertake the services of a physical therapy clinic. Excel Rehabilitation Services was one I chose. Excel specializes in help for all kinds of pain resulting from injuries due to work, sports, aging, and other. The PT's (physical therapists) work with pre- and post surgical patients. Because I was hoping to avoid surgery I availed myself of their services. The indoor warm water pool was my favorite of the workout program. It was kind to my crippled joints by giving me the mobility I needed to strengthen them. The pool staff, especially Stephanie, was most motivational in helping to do the exercises I needed. The workout stations are located in a small, rather cramped, room but consists of quite a variety of machines and tables. I found the staff to be most friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging or firm when needed to be. Because one comes at an appointed time, there's a one on one (some times 2) patient/staff ratio. You are assigned your own PT but can select another if desired. They accept BC/BS and other health care programs. I had thought about using their home therapy program but am glad I chose in- house because of the variety of equipment (and pool) available. Before attending Excel I had attended another local rehabilitation center which falls short when compared with Excel. If you are in Traverse City or in the surrounding area and need physical therapy, ask your physican to send you to Excel. They are located at 815 Business Park Dr. in the Royal Drive "doctors row" of Traverse City, MI.
