On first impression, I pulled up and there were about 5 sales people smoking right outside the front door. Obviously I don't want to deal with these people! I started working with a sales rep who answers a personal phone call in the middle of our test drive. We ended up driving two cars before I find one that I liked, so we went inside to discuss a price. They originally wanted 20,995 but eventually came down to 19,000. They pressured me to buy it right then and there, but I told them I needed to go home and do some due dilligence. This paid off nicely, as I found they were listing the car on their website for 17,995. The next day they called and I confronted them about the price difference, and they came up with several excuses as to why they didn't know. They told me that they'd offer me 17,500 if I came in. So I came in the next day. Still angry about the deal, I offered them 16,000. After going back and forth several times, I raised my price to 16,750 and they went down to 17,300. I told them I wanted it under 17,000. I asked them they could come down 2,000 the night before, but almost nothing today. In the end, the best he thought he could offer was 17,100. I told him I'd buy it right now for 16,750. I had my title in hand and a check ready to go. They let me walk. I left without a car.
