Review content:
There is an oversized olympic swimming pool (since 1862) that gets fed from geysers right on the property. You can see the scalding water erupting from the earth right next to the pool. They actually cap it, and then put it through a cooling tank before it gets to the pool. The water in the pool is always in motion. Not a lot of motion. Just a little, and it's just right. I like to go during the week when there aren't a lot of people there. It's rustic, and you have to purchase a spa treatment (which isn't cheap) to enjoy the pool. For me, this is worth it. I have had several treatments (mud baths, body scrubs, massages, facials) and have been pleased with all of them. If you are looking for a foofy spa, this isn't the place. It is, however, in my opinion, a wonderful place to get away.
