Review content:
Four or five specials appear daily.
Visitors are greeted by pots of cheery flowers amid potato vines. Upon entering guests are met by dark green paint making this a dark and intimate restaurant. It features four chandeliers and tables are lit by candles. There is background music; however, guests are invited to delight their fellow guests in their own musical talents by playing a piano.
Kids' portions are available, and they may also order sandwiches and appetizers from the lounge menu. Highchairs are available.
Any of the beef options, chicken marsala, veal dishes, seafood fettucini or spaghetti and meatballs are good. There's a Garden Alfredo for vegetarians. A few homemade desserts (apple crumb and Oreo cookie pies) and homemade soup.
The Bark Grill has two menus, one for the lounge and one for the restaurant, which is separated by a few steps. No matter where you ask to be seated, you can order from either menu. Appetizers, soups and salads are priced the same, from $2 to $8.50. Sandwiches and burgers range from $5 to $8. Most entrees are in the $12 to $20 range. Pasta dishes are $9 to $13. A reduced senior citizen menu is also available. Desserts, $2 to $4.50.
Reservations are recommended on weekends
Credit cards are accepted, as well as the Erie Fine Dining Club card (preferred restaurants of Erie and Chautauqua) is accepted for everything except daily specials and house specialties
