I recently took my dog to Planet Bark in West Hartford and was highly impressed. I am very picky and very attached to my dog, so I was reluctant, to say the least. The courteous and knowledgeable staff showed me around the facility and answered all of my questions.
The facility was unbelievably clean and the dogs were having a blast. As I sat in the office doing our "interview", there was an endless number of dogs bounding in and very excited to be there.
Talk about high end... Leather Futons, elevated feeders and endless playtime! They even have a large outdoor play area with new ASTROTURF!!!
Here's my advice: go to the other "kennels" in the area...take a tour (if they let you) ...make sure they take you back to where the dogs actually sleep. Then tour Planet Bark. There is absolutely no comparison. You will be running back to Planet Bark with your tail between your legs!!!
