Review content:
I am a 68 year old woman and stumbled on to Merry Go Round recently while looking for two "smallish" chairs for my living room. None of the sales staff greeted me the entire time I was in there -- perhaps it was because I am an "older" person. Or perhpas it was because I was dressed in tennis shoes and running clothes and was deemed unworthy of their attention, which seemed to go instead to well-dressed clientele. I ended up purchasing the two chairs for a cost of just under $1200. Unfortunately, they were not a good fit for my living room and I am attempting to return them. The owner of the store told me the re-shelfing fee wil be 50 % of the original cost, or approximately $600. When I protested the high reshelfing fee, she told me that a) the sales staff always goes over the policy with the customer at the time of purchase and b) that their policy is attached to the sales receipt. Neither of these was true. I strongly recommend doing business elsewhere.
