Review content:
This restaurant is always packed for a very good reason, the Caribbean décor, the friendly wait-staff, the incredible cocktails (try the Mojito’s & Mai Tai’s) and finally the food which happens to be out of this world. I can actually recommend everything we’ve ever ordered but here are a few of our favorites:
Sweet Potato Fries w/2 dipping sauces
Parmesan Calamari w/spicy aioli
PuPu Platter w/ Jerk Chicken, Coconut Prawns, Spareribs & Ahi (great for a bunch as an appetizer and plenty as a light lunch for two to share)
Blackened Sesame Ahi
Crab Mango Soup
Black Bean Soup (a frequent special)
Bahama Mama Fish Tacos (huge & yummy)
Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf (you wish mom could make it this good)
And if you have room try these sinful desserts (more than enough for two people):
Key Lime Pie (perfectly tart)
Coconut Cream Pie (gigantic and to die for)
Oh I forgot to mention when you sit down you get complimentary Calyspo Cheese Bread which is utterly incredible (take some home with you).
The restaurant also has a beautiful Dog Friendly heated (lamps & fire-pits) patio on which my dog George adores dining on (water bowls provided).
Truly, Carmel at it’s best!
