I like bennigans, and I like a good deal, so I joined the Bennigan's Club.
This gets you a coupon e-mailed to you so you can print it out, and take it to your local restaurant
I received many coupons for my birthday, but this was the most generous one of all..... a free entrée, with the purchase of another entrée............ and a free brownie dessert for the birthday celebrant
Charlene and I went last Saturday, as I received the coupon Friday evening in time for our planned trip to Texarkana on Saturday.
Well, we had our usual table..... LOL (see previous review of Bennigans).
Started off with an appetizer, the Haystack. Its finely cut onion rings, crisp fried, seasoned nicely, with Ranch sauce for dipping........ always a favorite of ours.
I was in the mood for ribs..... but their meatloaf is delicious......... what to do??
get a combo platter..... choice of 2 meats, and a side
Charlene and I got the ribs, and meatloaf...... there is an additional charge of $1.99 for Ribs, but you get 6 or 7 meaty ribs, with a tasty and finger licking good sauce, and a fork tender slab of meatloaf.
Charlene wanted fries, I wanted a loaded potato, but they were out of potatoes.... the fries were served with a dusting of pepper, very good alternative
One thing I love about Bennigans is that they serve Raspberry Iced tea....... refills are free. Charlene is not so adventurous, she had Sprite, which is her usual.
the dessert was served on a huge plate, with 2 spoons.
a large brownie, large scoop of vanilla ice cream, and hard shell chocolate sauce..... all sitting in a pool of chocolate sauce.
and a cherry on top....
Service was excellent, as usual, and I left a generous tip, plus a judysbook card, since I already had one review on file previously.
If you are looking for a good place to dine in texarkana for a special occasion, this is one where you will be given the red carpet treatment.
