Review content:
I have used the Citibank on 188th Street and 73rd Ave. for years. Recently, my son, who is starting college this month, wanted to open a savings account and get a credit card in his name. We stopped in to ask. They gave us a phone # to call and said that it could not be done at the bank. We were somewhat annoyed since we had specially made a trip on a hot day so that we could get all we wanted done in one place. Who ever heard of not being able to open an account at a bank branch?
Yesterday, I went to the Citibank branch on Union Turnpike at Utopia Parkway. There, I was welcomed with open arms. Since they are close to St. Johns University, they have a special person to help college students. The woman took my son's name and phone number, and the college specialist called him that day to make an appointment for my son to go in and speak to him. You know what branch we will use in the future.
