Weekend before last, we had to travel to Commerce, Ga. to pick up our two granddaughters from a visit with their dad. Since this was a turn-a-round trip we had to stay overnight on Friday and Saturday night. We usually meet him at 3:00 p.m.on Saturday. Since we can't leave home until around 2:00 p.m. on Friday we have to stay overnight on the way there and again on the way back.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Anniston, Ala.going and I must say that this is a very nice hotel. They have just put new comfortable mattresses in the rooms along with new bed linens and comforters. The linens and comforter are so soft they feel wonderful. They have added extra pillows on the beds also. Now they have 2 soft pillows and 2 firm pillows on a king size bed. The shower is awesome. It is one of those new "rain" style shower heads.
Everything about this stay was wonderful.....except..( I guess you had figured out that there had to be an exception LOL). The breakfast bar had none of the famous "Holiday Inn" Cinnamon Rolls. The host said there was an ordering problem and they had none for the weekend,. I love these cinnamon rolls, so I was upset at not having any.
But I can't complain about the accommodations. They were awesome.
Thank You Holiday Inn express for the comfort changes!!! It is great to get a good night's sleep when you are traveling.
