Review content:
When we got our first pure-bred dog (a wee Scottish terrier), we wanted to make sure she was beautifully groomed so we looked around for a good grooming salon. Joy's Doggery in Pasadena advertised that it specialized in terrier cuts, and we gave it a try.
Six years later, Joy's is still our one and only groomer. When I pull up outside the door, my dog starts wagging her tail because she can't wait to go in for her "day of beauty." The manager, Melanie, and her staff always treat our dog well, cut her to our specifications, and send our doggie out with a little bow or bandana that is coordinated for the season (e.g. a green bow for St. Patrick's Day). A shampoo, cut and nail trim usually runs us about 28.00 which isn't bad considering she only goes about once every two months.
Joy's also has a cute selection of toys, collars, leads, gourmet treats and other tempting items for sale. I hasten to add that they don't restrict their business to terriers -- all breeds are beautified there.
Sure, I have to go a bit out of my way to get to Joy's but I think it is worth it. We don't trust just anyone with our dog, and Joy's has been our only choice for going on six years.
