I do most of my banking at M&T Bank in Elkton. This bank is located inside of the local Acme Market and as such is very convenient for me to do my business there.
I have several accounts there and they all have very good terms. There are no fees on any of the accounts I hold there. I may have to keep minimum balances in some of them but I chose the accounts I have because I knew that I could keep the minimums (they are very minimal). They do have accounts where you get more services but have to keep a higher balance and I did not choose those becuase Iknew it wasn't right for me. A very friendly associate helped me pick the accounts that met my needs.
The tellers and other associates at this bank are top notch. They are all very friendly and get to know their customers by name. They keep me in mind when a better deal comes along and do not hesitate to call me when they think they find something that is in my best interest. You might think that they are only trying to sell me something new but this is not the case. In fact, I had a home equity account and they knew that they were able to get me a lower rate and so they called me and talked it over and showed me that there was nothing in it for them, just a lower rate for me. It was wonderful.
I never have to wait in lines at this bank. I know the associates by name and everyone is so wonderful. This is a great, convenient place to do your banking!
