On a wim, my 15 year old daughter and I stopped in at Billy's Downtown Diner for breakfast on a Saturday morning.
As we approached the small storefront, I noticed there were quite a few people inside, and a few waiting to be seated.
We were immediately greeted and asked for our name and the number of diners in our party.
Although to dining area was full of diners, it was not long before we were seated and given menus.
Wow! The menu choices looked fabulous! Certainly not your usual "diner" fare, but dishes that I recognized as Greek specialty items, along with menu choices I new I'd have to inquire further about.
We ordered, and when the food arrived, I was amazed at the size of the portions.
While we dined, I noticed a gentleman emerge from the kitch area, and begin to greet diners at tables & those waited to be seated.
I remarked to my daughter that this must be "Billy," the owner, and indeed it was.
Billy seemed a very friendly, happy business owner. And with good reason. His business appears to be booming, and I certainly can see why. The food was exceptional, the employees friendly and accommodating. I'd give Billy's Downtown Diner 5 out of 5 stars.
