Review content:
When in State college this past weekend, we just couldn't leave without stopping at Wegman's. For one thing,it was my favorite grocery "experience" when we used to live in the area, and for another -- we currently ate the last or our butter toffee peanuts (ONLY AT WEGs...i'd gotten them at the hunt valley location a month ago).
State College's Wegs is on the small side, but it's still so fun to poke around and see the offerings that are a cut above standard grocery store fare. Besides plugra butter and the artisan breads and pastries, wegs has their own store brand that really holds it's own. ENTER THE BUTTER TOFFEE PEANUTS. i seriously think my dad will get 25 cans for christmas. or maybe five. whatever the case, they are delicious and unlike the typical honey roasted peanut. JUST WONDERFUL. and worth a special trip! when i said to hubby "one or two cans?" he said "TWO" without hesitation -- and hubby is NOT a stockpiler. we just know they'll get eaten!
we also got some whole bean coffee (white chocolate truffle...i'm not sure why, but this product is just a favorite of mine. it has a very delicate, read: not fake, flavor...sometimes flavored coffee beans ring "yucky" to me, this make DELICIOUS iced coffee when cut with a traditional roast...i always do that with flavored beans anyhow, just so that it's not so strong/just a faint hint of "something else") and some random dojies-- a couple mini coke glasses and a favor for a party we are throwing. like i say, it's always fun to look!
