Review content:
We recently had dinner here and sat at the sushi bar. While we like the name and the place I still think things could have a better flow at Flo. The sushi was good and so was the service but I wasn't really wow'ed by much until we had the Firecracker Roll. This made Michael's head sweat. It's a roll with a lot of punch so don't order it if you're sensitive to chili heat.
Don't get me wrong, I like Flo but it could be a little better. The fish was fine but it didn't evoke the response I have to Rain's sashimi with it's incredible fresh flavor and feel in the mouth. Flo's interior is nice but there is so much open space when you first walk in that I don't see the point of it and it's a bit antiseptic. Hordes of people aren't waiting at the door but perhaps that is the minimalist decor coming through and I missed it until pondering it for this review.
Without having a full bar there is still a nice choice of adult beverages because of the sake-tinis. We'll come again since there aren't too many upper scale sushi places in Bellevue.
