Review content:
I can't stand to go there. Not only is the front door of Olney 9 a hang out for 14 year olds, but the inside looks like a dump. It's filthy and you will probably never watch an entire flick without someone's cell phone going off and then listening to their conversation for at least 10 minutes -- not to mention the fact that the theaters lack stadium seating. Because the theater is so close to my house, I was determined not to let one visit spoil my opinion, but I've given this theater (too) many chances and it seems almost inevitable that something will go wrong during a given screening. The picture has been blurry and the last time I was there the sound cut out around 1/2 way through the movie - and stayed off. The management refused to refund anyone in the audience's money. Furthermore, it's not like Olney is a steal when it comes to ticket prices. You'd think with all the junk that goes on here, tickets would be about $5 (or less)-WRONG! It will set you back about $8.50. To me, driving the extra 20 minutes to Rio or Regal in Rockville (and paying about the same price) is well worth it if I want to go see a movie!!
