We just recently found out about this amazing program although it started back in 2002. We called and reserved new bicycle helmets for four of our children and are picking them up tomorrow! :) As a wonderful community service, MAST is offering bicycle helmets for children for only $5 each (no sales tax)! All helmets are Snell-approved and meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission bike helmet standards. They offer a great choice of colors: red, green, purple, dark blue, light blue, and off white. If you know the size you need, be sure and call ahead with size, color, and the number of helmets you would like to purchase. The staff is available to do helmet fittings as well! For more info call Andrea Stewart - Public Relations, at (816) 300-8806 Here's the link for more info: http://www.mastambulance.org/bikehelmets.htm --------------------------- From the MAST website: << How to measure the head for a helmet Head measurement is determined by measuring the circumfrence of the head an inch above the ear and eyebrow. Please see helmet measurements listed below to determine the proper helmet size to order.
