Businiess name:  Video Warehouse Of Statesboro
Review by:  Tiffany B.
Review content:
I hate the Video Warehouse. I USED to like them and we had an account with them for over 2 years, no problems and then suddenly bam! We had rented a couple of movies and we returned the movies to the store, I got them there exactly as they were getting ready to close (had not closed yet) on the night they were due. The guy said he didn't want to put them in that night and since we'd gotten them there so late it was "his option" to check them in the next day and charge us a late fee and I told him it was then my option to call the manager and complain and asked for a phone number. He said "You know, I don't even have to check them in at all, they could just get "lost" and then you'd have to pay the whole cost for both movies". So we called the manager and spoke with the manager the next day (mind you they have cameras there I am sure, the manager said the tape would be reviewed and we'd be contacted back...nope!!!!) so when they called us (after we'd moved, we kept the same phone number) it basically was said that we'd lost the movies (in so many words) and it was all an elaborate cover up by us. Obviously the manager never reviewed the tape and didn't take MY word, someone who'd they'd never had a problem with in 2 years and rented atleast 3 movies from them a week, every week; nor my friend's word either. I didn't pay them, I told them to go screw themselves and I went and got a card with Blockbuster and that's where I've been for the past year and 1/2. After all of this happened and I was telling a guy in one of my classes the story that used to work for Video Warehouse he laughed and said that that happens more than you'd think, if there's a movie that an employee wants they just "forget" to check it in for the person and by the time the person realizes they have late fees, they usually think they lost the movie and pay for it and go on their merry way. So needless to say, the Video Warehouse by the old Winn Dixie is somewhere I highly discourage people from going if even their manager doesn't stick by her (or maybe his by now, not sure) word!!!!!!
