The Coralville Aquatic Center http://www.coralville.org/mod.php?mod=department&op=viewcustom&did=24&cid=7 that was built two years ago is a nice addition to the Coralville Community. It is located at 1513 7th St. (across from City Hall in ST Morrison Park). My kids LOVE swimming at this pool. It has zero depth entry as well as a splash pad full of fountains for kids big and small to play in. In addition, it has a small slide for the younger kids, but once you are 48" tall you are ready for both of the water slides. The purple slide is your normal curvy/zigzag slide. The orange slide is officially called the "Space Bowl," but we affectionately call it the "Toilet Bowl" slide. This slide swirls you around and drops you out of the bottom. Another nice feature is the capability of having a "party at the pool." We recently had a birthday party for my 6 year old and her friends and it was fantastic. The rates are as follows: SPLASH PARTY: 2 hours 10 – 15 people $130 16 – 20 people $180 21 – 25 people $230 Additional people- $10/person They receive: *One reserved deck section *Admission to Coralville Community Aquatic Center *CCAC Cookie *Shaved ice *Chips *Hotdog, Hamburger, or Pizza (Must choose one for all) What a nice way to have a party. Everyone has a blast and the clean-up is a snap! Oh, and the cookies are homemade decorated sugar cookies made by "Cookie Mom Cookies" that are delicious! If you're in the Coralville area and want to cool off in a jiffy, try the Coralville Community Aquatic Center.
