Businiess name:  Lafitte's Beat Dgn Gift Shop

Review content:
If you've been to "The Galveston Strand" then you know that the endless stretch of shops can be exhausting and some are very good while others seem to be "duds." Lafitte's Beat was one of the better ones that we encountered on our trip. At the front of the store, they have all sorts of fun "beach-themed" items that would make great souvenirs including shells, sand dollars, and starfish. There were signs with cute sayings and I got a kick out of reading them (and even considered buying a few). One of my favorite things in this section was the display of sand castles. There were a range of sizes and each one was "unique." I have never seen anything like this before. Some of them had added touches like crystals attached to them or could double as candle holders. The prices were very reasonable and ranged from $10 for a small one to $25 for the largest one. The back section of the store has the largest selection of wind chimes that I have ever seen in my life. It was fun to just walk through and look at all of them! Again, the prices on these were very reasonable. This isn't a typical "souvenir" shop with junky items that would get thrown away...these items are made to last! If you're looking for a fun, unique souvenir to take back for yourself or a gift for someone else, Lafitte's Beat is a great place to check out!
