Review content:
This is one of the old favorite in Big Sur (http://www.nepenthebigsur.com/). There is a famous movie filmed there that feature folk dancing. Now it has just about everybody coming there including just about every tourist in town so we were expecting not too much. And particularly when you compare it with the ultrachic Sierra Mar, we didn't know what to expect.
What we got was a really friendly set of folks plus terrific food. We had the New Zealand Lamb which was really terrific and the best part was the local wine. Monterey isn't know for its wines but they have some really special ones from someplace nearby that was terrific.
Finally the sunsets are great and they have this open pit fire that is a wonderful place to hang.
