Review content:
During our stay with Len's family in California we went to the Chaat Cafe, on Blossom Hill Road. It is a really good location close to Oakridge Mall, freeway 85 and 87.
The first time we let his daughter order for us. We had the Chicken Curry dinner at $9.99. It came with vegetables, rice, cucumber salad and naan bread.
It was wonderful. We ate to our hearts content. Even cleaned the plates off with the naan.
A couple of nights later when Len was asked where he wanted to eat he chirped up with Chaat Cafe. So we went on a second trip. The food was just as good.
This isn't a fancy restaurant. You go up to the counter and place your order and pay for it. We sat at the front and pulled another table next to ours. Then the server came and delivered our food. If you want water you get it yourself from a table by the counter.
Our only disappointment was on the second trip Len's daughter ordered a special. It was still $9.99 but she didn't get the vegetables or cucumber salad. She asked about it and they said that it wasn't included.
Now if this had been my restaurant with regular customers, I would have given them the extras. After all it would have cost them less an a dollar. They refused and that did leave a bad taste in our mouths.
We had given them a JB card on our first visit so my husband told them that the 5* would go down dramatically. They just didn't care.
I received an email from the owner with a 20% discount on the next visit. As Len's daughter and son-in-law go there every week, I forwarded it to them.
Thank you so much for caring about a business and keeping the customer happy and coming back. I have changed my rating accordingly.
