Review content:
I grew up watching my dad using "Craftsman" tools. Now that I'm married, my husband also uses and swears by them. Sears Hardware stores are part of a company with a name that is known and has "stood the test of time." There's something to be said for that in our society! They also carry brands, like Craftsman, that are well-known and trustworthy (at least according to the men in my life!).
In addition to carrying a large variety of "tools" including everything from screwdrivers to chainsaws, they also carry things like patio furniture, paint, and even household appliances. It's not as big as stores like Home Depot or Loews, but I kind of like that because it's not as overwhelming, either. Every time I have visited this location, the employees are always friendly and knowledgeable (which I can't say for Home Depot and Loews locations that I have visited in the area). They have always been patient, willing to answer all of my questions, and helpful in making suggestions about products and gift ideas.
About a year ago, we were in the market for a refrigerator for our new home. We shopped around and Sears Hardware had the best deals. We also really appreciated that the associate who assisted us was very knowledgeable and gave us the breakdown in features on different models which looked the same from the outside but were very different in what they had to offer. A year later, we are still pleased with this purchase!
This store is a great place to go if you're looking for a gift for your father, husband, or any other men in your life. I always check it out for Christmas, birthdays, and Father's Day. They have ads that come out in our Sunday paper here, and sometimes they have some really good deals. If you have a Sear's card, they sometimes offer great promotional financing offers (like 0% and no payments for a year).
