Review content:
I love Disney and a few years ago my brother (whose family goes to Disney 3-4 times a year) convinced me to buy Disney Vacation Club (DVC) so we could all go to Disney together. DVC is Disney's timeshare. I was unsure about buying a timeshare, but I am so glad I did. DVC is based on a point system and there are seven resorts (5 at Walt Disney World, 1 at Hilton Head, and 1 at Vero Beach).
We are able to stay at a studio at Beach Club Villas (a deluxe resort) for approximately the same price as a value resort. If you love Disney and go at least every three years, this is a great program.
Some things to keep in mind;
1. You can buy in with a low number of points by buying resale.
2.The resorts are REALLY nice- we have loved all the ones we have been at.
3. This is not the cheapest way to go to Disney- you can get a better deal off site.
4. You can rent points. This can be a very affordable way to stay at a suite on site. Also, you don't have to pay taxes.
As you can probably tell, I love DVC.
