I have used the services of Rent-A-Center on a few occasions, and for the most part, have had good experiences. When we rented a house in Muskogee, we found that the house did not come furnished with a stove or refridgerator, like most rentals in the area. We were able to find an inexpensive used refridgerator, but with children, we absolutely needed a stove as well. While we were looking for one to purchase, we headed down to the Rent-A-Center on East Side Blvd. This location is very easy to find, as East Side Blvd is one of the most well known streets in Muskogee, and they are located in the Lakeland Shopping Center. Very easy to get to, tons of great parking, and many other shops next to them. We were immediately greeted, and treated as valued customers. They offered my husband, myself and our son something cold to drink as soon as we started talking to them. The employees were very friendly, and actually made it fun to talk to them. We let them know that we were in need of a stove, for a short term rental, and asked about their current promotion, which was, "Rent one week, get a week free". We asked if we could take advantage of the special, even though we were just renting short term, and they assured us that we could. They showed us all available stoves. We had a choice of renting one that had previously been rented, for a lower price, or a brand new, sharp one with a flat top, for just a bit more. We opted for the new one, and I believe we paid about $33 for the two week rental... not bad. They delivered our stove on the same day we went in, came in and hooked it up, cleaned up their mess, and were pleasant and professional the entire time. When we found another stove and told them we would no longer be needing the rental, they came and picked it up, with no questions, no harassing... they were, to be honest, awesome! I have, of course, heard the horror stories of renting from such places, and yes, their prices are outrageous if you plan to keep something long term... you would be better off saving the money and purchasing your big ticket items at a traditional retail store, but if you are ever in a pinch, Rent-A-Center really is a good place to do business with.
