BEWARE of the Sonic carhops!!!! Last night my daughter (30 yrs. old) went to sonic to purchase 2 sonic "Blasts". She placed her order and was told that the total was $4.27. The carhop came out to bring her order and asked her for $4.27. She gave him a Ten Dollar Bill and he gave her a quarter and took off. After a while of waiting for her change and seeing the carhop inside conversing with another hop while they stared at her; she pressed the "Order button" again. She was asked: "How may I help you"? She said: "I would like my change". The same carhop came back out to her car and asked if something was wrong and then handed her a $5.00 bill and laughed. He thought he could get away with not giving her change. She is a single mother of 2 and works hard for her pay. She cannot afford to have a carhop keep her change and laugh at her. It seems as though his purpose in this was not only to see if he could get away with it but to see if she would do anything about it.
He picked on the wrong customer. If he hadn't come back with her change, she would have called her fiancee and he would have pulled up in his patrol car with his cuffs in the ready position.
Watch out for smart alec carhops who have the guts to try anything.
