I have been banking with Hudson Valley bank for about a year now, and I have been very pleased with their service. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant when I drop in for routine transactions. In addition, when I have needed advice on what type of retirement planning to do, mortgages, etc. their loan officers have been very helpful in explaining all of the options to me without pushing products. The interest rate at the bank is not great, but it is competitive. And they don't kill you with small fees for things like ATM machines.
