Review content:
Hired D&H to insulate a new custom home that was built with 2x6 construction in order to have a well insulated home. Several problems occurred. First Knauf insulation was used that does not have R numbers printed on the backing so there is no way to know what was installed without removing it. Unfortunately drywall was completed before I discovered 3 1/2" batts were used in some places instead of the quoted 6". At this point I don't know what was used throughout the house. During the first winter I had several walls with frost on the drywall. I drilled holes and foamed the area to fix. Now I notice frost occurring at the wall ceiling line. Because the whole house has crown I don't know how extensive this problem is. I contacted D&H last year on these problems and only got rhetoric and a promise to scan the house for cold spots. Never happened. Tried again, no action. There are better contractors out, find one.
Pros: Fair pricing
Cons: Questionable installation
