Review content:
The only Six Flags that I have ever been to is in Valencia, CA. I really loved it when I was a teenager, and I still even had a good time when my husband and I were dating and married before kids. Once we had the kids, it doesn't have as much appeal. Suddenly, I am all too aware that there is actually a risk to going on all of the rollercoasters. It's a really weird feeling.
Magic Mountain was great because it wasn't as "boring" as Disneyland as far as rides go. Almost all of the rides were roller coasters and meant to get your heart pumping. The price for admission is also lower than Disneyland and they frequently offer coupons. There is a little bit of a problem with "gang looking" people there who seem to be there only to stir up trouble. I felt a little safer since they implemented a metal detector at the front gate, but it still made me feel a little uneasy.
