Review content:
The Catskill Animal Sanctuary provides a safe haven for abused or neglected horses and farm animals. CAS operates its shelter on 100 acres in Saugerties, NY. Its mission is to raise awareness of the treatment of these animals and its impact on all of us and educate the public (especially children) about its programming.
And speaking of animals! Visit the Sanctuary and you'll see its "residents" actively roaming the property gently nuzzling guests and begging for a pet or treat. Who could say no to a handsome teenage gelding named Buddy whose owners moved to New Mexico or to an affectionate cow aptly named Rosebud who came running when I called her name? There are lots of smaller animals at CAS including goats, hens, a Peking duck, roosters, pot belly pigs and more. All of the animals at CAS are available for adoption--got room at your place for one of these critters?
If you're ever near Saugerties, visit CAS--it's a special place.
